About Me
Mr. Gogolak serves as a financial advisor to high-net-worth individuals, endowment funds, as well as the retirement plans of small to medium-sized corporations.
Mr. Gogolak assists and guides clients with the investment management of more than $1.09 billion in assets. As a highly consultative financial advisor, he works closely with his client to develop individualized investment portfolios in the equity and fixed income markets, attentive to his clients’ needs and goals.
The son of Hungarian refugees who fled their homeland during that country’s 1956 uprising against communism, Mr. Gogolak was raised in upstate New York. He received a B.A in Economics from Dartmouth College in 1979 and an MBA from Columbia University in 1983.
Prior to joining Stifel in 2009, Mr. Gogolak served as a Senior Vice President/Investments with A.G. Edwards for nearly 15 years and a Managing Director/Investments with that firm’s successor, Wachovia Securities. He also served as a Vice President with Kidder Peabody in Phoenix and as a bank lending officer with J.P. Morgan in New York City and Citicorp U.S.A. in Phoenix. He is also a graduate of General Electric Co.'s Financial Management Program, having served as a Financial Analyst with General Electric between college and graduate school.
Mr. Gogolak was a past board member of the Arizona Community Foundation, serving as an investment committee member and chairman for five years. He has also served as a board member with All Saints Episcopal Day School, Scottsdale Healthcare Foundation, COMPAS, Golden Gate Community Center, and the Paradise Valley Country Club.
Mr. Gogolak has resided in Phoenix since 1986, where he and his wife, Erin, raised three daughters. They are now proud grandparents of five.

Mr. Jones serves as a Financial Advisor Associate working alongside John Gogolak and Annie Servis. He focuses on client service, reporting, marketing, and workflow optimization.
Mr. Jones was born and raised in Phoenix, graduating from Brophy College Preparatory and attending All Saints Episcopal Day School. He received a B.S. in Public Health from Saint Louis University in 2014, where he also earned a Master of Public Health in 2016.
Prior to joining Stifel in 2018, he taught English at Fun Language International in Bangkok, Thailand, for nearly two years. He also served as a graduate intern at Shenandoah Medical Center, a critical access hospital in Southwest Iowa.

Annie moved to Arizona in 1986 from Missouri, where she was born and raised. She began her career in the financial industry in 1986 at Kidder, Peabody & Co., where she became a Registered Financial Associate in 1994. She has worked alongside John Gogolak as his assistant since 1987.
